Freyr: Investment Services for Professionals

Freyr Investment Management Ltd (“Freyr”) has been established to provide discretionary investment management services to regulated Independent Financial Advisers and professional clients.

Freyr was established in 2024 by its founding Directors, Paul Ollerton and Christopher Fernyhough, who believe there is an opportunity for low cost, straightforward model portfolio Discretionary Investment Management (DIM) service and Inheritance Tax (IHT) service to be marketed to suitable customers.

What does Freyr mean?

The company is named after Freyr, who was the Norse God of fertility and prosperity. Freyr, whose old Norse name signifies “(the) Lord,” was one of the most revered Norse gods, he was also closely associated with a good harvest. He was twin brother of the goddess Freyja. Originating from the Vanir tribe, Freyr and his kin were distinctively connected to nature, agriculture and summer’s bounty.

Freyr’s stories depict him as a multi-faceted figure: a uniquely brave warrior who gave up his powerful sword for love and at times, a deeply emotional character. Freyr’s relatable triumphs and romantic follies likely resonated deeply with the people of Viking age Scandinavia, who venerated him for prosperity and stability.
